Kickboxing for Women in Basel

Kickboxing training for Women

We have recently decided to no longer divide our trainings into men and women but into beginner and advanced levels. We feel this is more inclusive and in the spirit of equality.

However, we would like to emphasize that we still stand strictly against discrimination.

Does that sound good to you? Then you can learn more about kickboxing here and sign up for a free trial training.

What is Kickboxing

Kickboxing used to be called sport karate and came to Europe from America in the 1970s. It is a combination of the foot kicks of the Korean fighting style Taekwondo and the Japanese Karate as well as a 1:1 adaptation of western boxing. Kickboxing is therefore a relatively young martial art and therefore very efficient and suitable for realistic fighting scenarios. Thanks to its origins in the Far East, however, traditional values and philosophical views are not neglected. At Dynamic Sports Basel we attach great importance to respect and discipline.

About Kickboxing

Kickboxing is an extremely flexible and fast martial art. Since boxing gloves and equivalent protection on the feet as well as head protection are worn, the risk of injury is very low.

Kickboxing is suitable for ages 16 and up and can be done with light, medium or full contact.

For those between 8 and 15 years of age, we offer special kickboxing training for children and teenagers.

Kickboxing is organized in Switzerland in the Swiss Kick-Boxing Association S.K.B.V.. National and international tournaments are held. Most kick-boxers practice at the same time some kind of martial art as a balance. At competitions fighters can also use their traditional techniques in the form of KATAS. The gradings are done according to the DAN/KYU system.
